Introduction to the Ritual Instruments of the Vajra Master by H.E. Garchen Rinpoche.

2019-02-15

★ The Ritual Instruments of the Vajra Master completes the Five Dhyani Buddhas.

Dear Dharma Friends,

Every time during a practice session, the vajra master’s desk is always full of ritual instruments. What do they actually represent? Garchen Rinpoche has given an explanation in this video:

“The liquid inside the kapala represents Akṣobhya.

The damaru represents Ratnasaṃbhava.

The dorje represents Amitābha.

The bell represents Amoghasiddhi.

Placing the dorje and the bell together like [a cross] represents Vairocana.”
